I have always loved reading the Layout A Week challenges on the Studio Calico message boards. I often intend to participate and never seem to get around to it! Here is my submission for this month’s Challenge #1 to include a large number on a layout. Go on over to Studio Calico to check out the challenges!
I meant to do that thing that people (ie Stephanie Bryan and Marcy Penner) do when they stack up a whole bunch of paper with just the edges showing and it is so cool. I just loved these papers (Pink Paislee’s Fancy Free line) too much to keep the edges really small, so the paper ended up taking up most of the layout.
Those little chipboard sayings came in the Studio Calico Brimfield kit. I love the color and the foil on top.
Gorgeous!

I am so glad that you left more of your paper showing. Those papers are beautiful. It would be a shame to cover too much of them up.

Sweet photo and layout! I love the photo, what a special memory of a wonderful Oma. Wish I had more of those with my kids and their grandma. Love how you incorporated the ’85’ into the layout. And love the gold touch!
